Parts
There are speaking parts for around 40 children – and as some parts are much longer than others, you can easily split them so that up to 100 children each have a line.
Running Time
Stick exactly to the script and the whole assembly takes around 40 minutes. With the editable script, you can easily shorten or lengthen it by up to 20 minutes either way. See the sample above for more information.
Is It Religious?
Three of the four songs have no religious basis at all. The exception, ‘Love Is Patient’, is based on the famous passage from 1 Corinthians 13 – but even this song has no obvious religious references, being all about the theme of love rather than worship. Most of the script is completely non-religious too, although part of the final summary mentions the same passage, and there’s an optional closing prayer. Both are quick to change or remove with the editable script, so this title suits every type of school.
Rehearsal Time
We believe a simple version can be taught to a group of children in just one day, while the full version will take at least 2-3 days. Every group is different, though, so please listen to the songs and look through the material before deciding how much time your pupils will need.
