Your Performance Licence comes included with your order
Good news: there’s nothing extra to buy and nothing to fill in. When you place a new order for one of our publications, you get three licences in one:
- A full one-year ‘Performance Licence’
- A basic one-year ‘User Licence’
- A basic one-year ‘Recording Licence’ (terms apply)

- Complete checkout — and you’re covered for another year.
If your original purchase was within the last five years and no renewal discount appears, simply contact us and we’ll send you your unique code.
General Performance Licence Information
A Legal Requirement, Made Simple
Whenever you use any part of one of our publications to stage a performance of any kind, however small, you must hold an up-to-date Performance Licence issued by Learn2soar. This applies:
- whether or not an admission fee is charged;
- whatever the age or ability of the children;
- whether the audience is in the room with you or watching remotely;
- even if the performance is ‘only for parents’.
This is a legal requirement worldwide* and a condition of our terms and conditions, and applies to all types of schools, churches, nurseries, preschools, children’s groups, etc.
The good news is that you don’t need to arrange anything separately. Our Performance Licences come exclusively as part of an up-to-date subscription to the ‘Digital Publication’ (or ‘Complete Pack’ where available) of the title you’re performing, so once you’ve subscribed, you’re covered. Licences issued by any other organisation do not cover our works in any way, shape or form.
*In the UK under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended), and internationally under the Berne Convention, administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Songs Only Performance
Love our songs and want to use them in a performance you’ve created yourself? Wonderful! Whether you’re using our audio CDs or rehearsal pack CDs, you’re still performing our material, so an annual Performance Licence is required.
Our Performance Licences come as part of a one-year subscription to the relevant ‘Digital Publication’ (or ‘Complete Pack’ where available). Simply take one out and you’re covered, with everything else the subscription includes as a bonus.
