NEW Customers - How our licensing works
Your Performance Licence is included in your order
When you place a new order for one of our publications, you get three licenses in one:
- A full one-year ‘Performance Licence’
- A basic one-year ‘User Licence’
- A basic one-year ‘Recording Licence’ (Terms apply)
Simplified Instant Licensing
When you order one of our publications, you automatically receive a performance licence that allows you to stage as many performances as you like of that one particular musical, at any time, within a period of one-year only, running from the date of purchase. No additional paperwork is required. You’re automatically covered.

- The included ‘Performance Licence’ element allows you to stage as many performances as you want within a 1 year period

- The included basic ‘User licence’ element allows you to share your digital publication on up to four devices. (Further devices can be added with an extended ‘Site Licence‘).

Please note: ‘Digital Publications’ (and ‘Complete Packs’ where available) are only available on a one-year subscription basis. There is no auto-renewal, and no requirement to renew (unless you are using the publication again). Customers have the opportunity to renew manually after the initial one-year period has ended, with discounts available for regular renewals.

If your original purchase was within the last five years and no renewal discount appears, simply contact us for your unique code.
General Performance Licence Information
A Legal Requirement
If you intend to use any part of one of our publications, to stage any type of performance, however small, regardless of whether an admission fee is charged or not, regardless of the age/ability of the children, regardless of whether the audience is in the room with you or watching remotely via computers, and even if the performance is ‘only for parents’, than you MUST be in possession of an up-to-date performance licence issued by Learn2soar. This is a legal requirement worldwide* and applies to all types of schools, churches, nurseries, preschools, children’s groups, etc. *(In the UK via the ‘Copyright, Designs & Patents Act 1988’, and Worldwide via the ‘Berne Convention’ and the ‘World Intellectual Property Organisation’). And as stated above, our performance licences are ONLY available as part of an up-to-date subscription to the ‘Digital Publication’ (or ‘Complete Pack’ where available) of the title you’re interested in. Licences issued by any other organisation do not apply in any way, shape or form.
Songs Only Performance
We know that some customers like to purchase our audio CDs (or rehearsal pack CDs) to use the songs within a performance that they have created themselves. However, even here, you are still performing our material and as such, an annual performance licence is still required. As we do not sell stand alone performance licences, you will have to purchase a one-year subscription to the relevant ‘Digital Publication’ (or ‘Complete Pack’ where available).
