The Flight Of The Songbirds – Children’s Musical

BEAUTIFUL

"This is a beautiful performance, which was incredibly easy to stage for our end of year production. In truth there is very little to it. No long script, no big parts for the children to learn (which was actually a godsend during these busy months), just a few catchy, clever songs with easy but effective harmony lines. For the two pieces of "music to dance to" we just had the children moving around the stage in a 'V' formation, with arms 'flying' up and down at the same time as each other, nothing special, but it still looked great. Very easy to learn and perform. The only slight difficulty we had was with costumes, but once we'd worked out a simple way of doing bird costumes we were fine. Each child wore a simple half mask, with a downward pointing triangle for a beak, with coloured capes, tied round their necks and wrists. In the end, many parents and colleagues said they'd never seen a performance like it and were very complimentary. The Flight of the Songbirds is a very original idea, which I would gladly recommend."
