The following cast list is for the PLAY SCRIPT version. (There is no cast list for the SIMPLE narrated version which is designed to be simply read out with no acting involved).
- Narrators: Roughly 40 lines for narrators, divided into around 10 passages. Have as few or as many narrators as you want.
- Mary: Has 11 lines and one optional solo.
- Joseph: Has 7 lines
- Angels: In addition to a ‘choir’ of angels who can sing two songs, there are a few spoken lines for one or two angels.
- Three Wise Men & Four Shepherds: One or two lines each.
- Innkeeper: There are just 2 lines for the innkeeper. Alternatively, you could have the “innkeeper and his wife,” with one line each.
- Optional Extras: The guidance that accompanies your purchase provides ideas for several extra non-speaking roles.
Any number of children from 2-100+, depending on the content used.
If you stick exactly to either script, this performance should take about 20 -25 minutes. If this is too long or too short for you, suggestions are included as part of the material you receive, which should help you easily shorten or lengthen the production by 10-15 minutes either way.
