Overview
“I wanted to tell you that the children really enjoyed using these songs and the parents thought it was a great performance.”
A superb harvest thanksgiving resource for preschool! Seven simple, catchy songs the children will love to sing, with backing tracks (no need for a pianist), plus THREE editable scripts, PowerPoints and more. You get all three scripts:
(1) The ‘Full Performance’ script – a narrated rhyming script with enough lines for even the largest class, with a different subject for each letter of HARVEST: H is for Harvest, A is for Autumn, R is for Roots…
(2) The ‘Simple Performance’ script – a shortened, simplified version of the full script.
(3) The ‘Story Version’ – designed for one adult to read out, with all the best bits plus an extra story, ‘The Sunflower Competition’. Working with older children? Try H-A-R-V-E-S-T Spells Harvest.

Is It Religious?
Most of the songs have no obvious religious references, apart from songs 5 and 7. Likewise, most of the script has no obvious religious references, although a few sections mention ‘giving thanks to God for the harvest’. These are easy to remove with the editable script, so there’s something here to suit everyone.
Parts
Very flexible – as many or as few children as you like.
Running Time
Around 15-20 minutes, depending on which script and how many songs you use.
Rehearse In A Few Hours
Reading the story version yourself? It needs virtually no preparation at all. Using one of the children’s performance scripts? We believe a simple version can be taught in just a few hours, and a full performance prepared in a day or two. Every group is different, though, so please listen to the songs and look through the material before deciding how much time your pupils will need.
