If you’re stuck for ideas for your school’s / church’s harvest thanksgiving celebration this year, then look no further than our ready-to-use ‘Harvest Assembly Collection’! You get two harvest assemblies, with two different versions of each assembly included: a story version designed to be read out by an adult, and a class performance version, which has already been divided up into dozens of speaking parts to save you time. The first assembly ‘Caring For The Planet’ is aimed more at older children, with the second assembly ‘The Squirrel’s Harvest’ being geared more towards younger children. However, there is no reason why any of the assemblies can’t be used across various age ranges.

Very flexible. Any number of children from one to a hundred plus, depending on content used.

Depending on how much of the songs / scripts / ideas you use, the estimated running time can be anything from 10-40 minutes.

About half the songs have religious references and half don’t. With regards to the included assembly scripts, assembly one contains brief religious references in the summary section, which can easily be cut out if required. All assemblies finish with an optional prayer, which can also be easily discarded if required. Therefore, we believe that there is something here to suit everyone.

We believe it’s possible to prepare a simple version of either of these assemblies to use with a group of children in just a few hours. Please note this is not a guarantee. Please listen to the songs and view the material before deciding how much rehearsal time your pupils will require.
