This simple performance lasts around 15-20 minutes and is very easy to learn and stage. There are six short songs (three of them repeated through the show, so they stick in no time!), plus an optional closing hymn based on ‘The Canticle of the Sun’ by St Francis of Assisi.

The songs, beautifully sung by a young child, are linked by your choice of two scripts – and you get both: a simple narrated script and a rhyming play script. All the backing music is included, so there’s no need for a pianist, and you also get PowerPoints, sheet music, a songsheet and more. Narrators plus four to ten main parts, four with optional solos. You can even perform it with no actors at all – just a choir or group of children singing the songs and reading the narrators’ parts.

Stick exactly to either script and it runs for around 20 minutes – but depending on how you stage it, it can last anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes. The detailed ‘Production Notes’ in your purchase show you how.

We believe this performance can be taught to a group of children in just one day. Every group is different, though, so please listen to the songs and look through the script before deciding how much time your cast will need.
