C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S Spells Christmas (junior version – age 7-11) is one of our most popular nativity plays, previously broadcast in the UK on national radio. This simple-to-use, acrostic nativity contains nine superb songs, made using a wide range of styles – rock, pop, mambo and even a bit of ‘Nessun Dorma’. The songs are ingeniously linked by a choice of two completely different scripts, providing you with great flexibility. Both editable scripts are included in your purchase:

(1) The ‘Simple Script’ is a time-saving presentation of the nativity story that you just can’t go wrong with. C is for ‘Can You Hear The Sound Of Christmas’, H is for ‘Heavenly News’, R is for ‘Rocking & Rolling To Bethlehem’… you get the idea! All the songs are linked by simple narrated parts, with optional solos for all the main characters: Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Kings, etc…

(2) The ‘Full Play Script’ tells the story of a time-travelling TV News station, which reports on the nativity story with hilarious results. Get ready for the wackiest nativity play ever, including Mary and Joseph in the ‘Nazareth to Bethlehem Donkey Derby’, 3 crazy Kings doing magic tricks and ‘3 Tenor Shepherds’ who are taking part in ‘Bethlehem’s Got Talent’!

Very flexible, with two editable scripts and plenty of optional speaking / acting / singing parts, you can perform this production with just a few children or with a cast of well over a hundred.

Very flexible. Depending on which of the two included scripts you use, the approximate running time is 40-50 minutes. However, this time span can easily be shortened or lengthened significantly. Suggestions for how to do this are included in the detailed ‘Production Notes’ which you find contained within your purchase.

We believe that this nativity needs a minimum of three days rehearsal time. Please note, this is not a guarantee. Please listen to the songs and view the material before deciding how much rehearsal time your pupils will require.
