There are two different scripts that can be used to stage this Christmas musical. Both scripts use the same songs to tell the same story, but in slightly different ways…
SCRIPT 1: MAIN Script
This script has ‘Narrators Raps’ between most of the songs. The ‘Narrators Raps’ use a total of 84 different lines, meaning you can have as few or as many rapping narrators as you want! An extra music track (CD track 25) has been included as music for the narrators to rap over.
SCRIPT 2: SIMPLE Script
This is the original version of ‘The Right Shepherds’, which features a few basic narrators’ lines in between some of the songs.
This musical can be performed with 9 to 100+ cast members.
If you stick exactly to either script, this performance should take about 40 -50 minutes. If this is too long or too short for you, suggestions are included as part of the material you receive, which should help you easily shorten or lengthen the production by 10-20 minutes either way.
We believe that this musical needs a minimum of 1 week rehearsal time. Please note, this is not a guarantee. Please listen to the songs and view the material before deciding how much rehearsal time your pupils will require.
