Two scripts use the same songs to tell the same story, in slightly different ways:
SCRIPT 1: MAIN Script
‘Narrators’ Raps’ between most of the songs, with 84 lines in total – so you can have as few or as many rapping narrators as you like! An extra music track (track 25) is included for the narrators to rap over.
SCRIPT 2: SIMPLE Script
The original version of ‘The Right Shepherds’, with a few basic narrators’ lines between some of the songs.
Cast Size
Perform it with anything from 9 to 100+ children.
Running Time
Stick exactly to either script and the show runs for about 40-50 minutes. Too long or too short? The suggestions in your purchase help you easily trim or stretch it by 10-20 minutes either way.
Rehearsal Time
We recommend at least one week of rehearsal time. Every group is different, though, so please listen to the songs and look through the material before deciding how much time your pupils will need.
